Please consider this as your personal invitation to experience the tenth annual BereanSafari at the Amani Tiwi Beach Resort, on the Indian Ocean South Coast of KENYA from August 6 – 13 ,2016. BereanSafari seeks to bring together participants from Africa and elsewhere on this journey of discovery into the Word of God. Our target audience includes leaders from every walk of life – community, business, government, education. church, para-church organizations, missionaries, artists and professionals. We believe that this meeting of cultures not only enriches the discovery process but also helps each of us move beyond our own preconceptions as we interact with the Scriptures and each other.

Please feel free to nominate others for consideration, by sending their contact information immediately to bereansafari@gmail.com. Participation is only upon acceptance by the Organizing Committee. Many return again and again. Special program tracks are tailored for such people. The number of places is limited. Only early registration will assure you of a place. Most participants will leave Nairobi by our courtesy bus at 6:30am, Saturday, 6th August 2016, to begin the journey via Mombasa. There will be at least one stop on the way for those travelling on our chartered bus. Discount air travel from Nairobi to Ukunda can be arranged at an extra fee for those who prefer not to travel by bus. Early booking is mandatory.

International participants can consider flying into Mombasa’s Moi International rather than JKIA in Nairobi. Ground transport to Tiwi Beach can be secured at the airport. The nature of the conference requires that all be present (and functional) from the very beginning. Therefore, participants coming from afar are advised to plan to arrive in Nairobi on Friday, 5th August 2016 or earlier to avoid jet lag. We can help you with a list of possible hotels and/or guesthouses.

While it is possible to leave the event early, latecomers will not be admitted. Please plan accordingly

No conference payments will be received at the venue, Amani Tiwi Beach Resort.

Please Note:

• Confirmation will be sent upon registration.
• Participants coming from afar, please plan to arrive Nairobi by Friday, 5th August 2016 or one or two days earlier to enable you to catch the bus or flight to Mombasa. Details of group air travel from Nairobi to the coast will be sent before the retreat.
• The retreat will begin on the 6th August with registration on arrival at 4:00pm followed by supper and conclude with breakfast on the 13th August.
• The Resort has children’s facilities. Those planning to come with their children, kindly let us know at the time of registration in order to secure a family room for you.
• The conference language will be English.
• Our international faculty members will be joining us for the 10th year.
• Tracks of study will be offered to accommodate participants coming for their first year or returning for another BereanSafari.
• Participants will have an opportunity for an excursion to one of the national parks and time to rest on the beach. The weather is fairly warm during this time of the year.
• There will be no pro-rating of fees for early departures.

This is especially important if you are planning to attend as a group. BereanSafari (Journey of Discovery into the Scriptures), is a grassroots initiative of Africans who attended transformational Bible study conferences in Asia. Since 2007, BereanSafari has provided such opportunities in Kenya, East Africa and Ethiopia, impacting the lives of hundreds of leaders from across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America. For nearly fifty years, leaders and communities across the world have gone through the life changing experience of spending extended time with God and His people in His Word through “Manuscript Bible Study.” Interaction with peers, the Scriptures and veteran facilitators form the curriculum. Discovery replaces instruction. Fatigue and boredom give way to new energy, excitement and a commitment to engage Scripture in every area of life.
